INSPECTOR MORSE

Like listening to the TV with the picture turned off--only better--this set of four two-hour stories, based on the novels of Colin Dexter, is taken directly from the sound track of the British television programs. To the original music and dialogue, Acorn Audio has added narration by Trevor Nichols that serves as little more than stage directions and scene descriptions. One can't help but miss John Thaw's facial expressions, but it takes little time to adjust, sit back and enjoy.
