FINAL JEOPARDY

Barbara Rosenblat portrays the personal nightmare faced by Manhattan Assistant D.A. Alexandra Cooper when her close friend is found murdered in Cooper's own island getaway on Martha's Vineyard. Rosenblat offers varying accents for Cooper's associates--from Vineyard folk to New York cops, cabbies, judges, detectives, writers, and sex-crime defendants. Rosenblat has way too good a time with the barely controlled fury in Cooper's voice when she discovers the infidelity of her beau and his possible relationship with the murder victim. Her portrayal of a New York cop doing a Columbo impression is especially fun, as well. As the story moves from human frailties to suspense to humor, Rosenblat's voice deftly shifts gears.
