REASON AND FAITH: PHILOSOPHY IN THE MIDDLE AGES

by | Read by Thomas Williams

Philosophy & Religion • 12 hrs. • Audio Program • ©

Many have a view of philosophy as being stuffy, especially that of the Middle Ages. This is unfortunate because the thousand-year period was a time of great intellectual inquiry, which Williams does a wonderful job of describing in this work. We see a historical period that, rather than being stagnate, was quite dynamic and gave us a faith that was reasonable. This is an academic lecture but one that Williams delivers with passion. He quite obviously is a master of his subject, and he speaks with confidence and clarity. He also adds just the right expressive notes to his presentation.
