A WOLF IN THE FOLD A Ralph Compton Novel

Richard Ferrone's performance is outstanding—his narration boosts this story's considerable shock value. His low, gravelly voice will make listeners think they're hearing an old cowboy telling yarns. Lucus Stark is a “regulator,” a ruthless assassin for hire who works for ranchers with rustling problems, like Gertrude Tanner. After he meets the Butcher family and they're later wiped out, Stark has a change of heart, and the story takes a very different path from the one expected. Ferrone infuses the story with energy, humor, and irony. As he uses rich and appealing tones to portray both male and female characters, listeners will delight in his vocal prowess.
