Anyone who's been hurt and disappointed by people knows that anger from old grievances can hold us prisoner. In discussing the concept of forgiveness, Casarjian debunks some of the myths connected with it. In addition, she offers exercises and guided visualization to help listeners forgive others, as well as themselves. She shows how forgiveness can heal the heart, raise self-esteem and bring peace. Casarjian's voice is kind, measured and pleasant (with a touch of a Boston accent, which I liked). Her calm presentation underscores her belief that we must treat ourselves gently as we work through the forgiveness process. Casarjian delivers her message in a way that is comforting and encouraging, allowing the listener to feel that she is speaking only to him/her. P.B.J.
