JUNIE B. JONES AND THE STUPID SMELLY BUS

Junie B.'s first day of kindergarten is fraught with calamity. Bullies push her down on the bus ride to school. People call her simply "Junie." To avoid the ride home on the "stupid smelly bus," she hides in a supply closet. Having the building to herself after school is lots of fun--until Junie B. has an emergency. Christina Moore brings this feisty 5-year-old to life with spirited narration. Her voice has the right amount of anxiety in it, especially when it edges toward hysteria.
