KASPER IN THE GLITTER

Some children's stories teach, some amuse, and some are next to worthless. This story is in the last category. In this obnoxious fantasy a sheltered boy experiences the city and all its terror. BBC radio actor David Holt reads with appropriate diction for the characters. His voice resonates deeply for King Streetwise and rises high and whiny for the vain Pumpkin. However, his professionalism cannot redeem a bad plot. Psychological torture and violence makes this book inappropriate for any audience, let alone children.
