KISSING THE GUNNER'S DAUGHTER

Peters's reading of this Inspector Wexford mystery adds to its suspense and atmosphere. Wexford learns of a missing woman, the secrets of a mysterious country house, and the lethal consequences of "kissing the gunner's daughter." The accents and cross-gender depictions are all successful, especially considering the number of characters. The reading is consistent with the action and the emotions involved.
