KNOWLEDGE OF ANGELS

On a small Mediterranean island in medieval times, the rescue of a shipwrecked stranger and the capture of a wolf-child in the island’s mountains become inextricably connected, requiring all involved to rethink their deepest beliefs. Christopher Scott’s reading is superb. He assumes the voices of the many characters seamlessly. But even more outstanding is Scott’s ability to present the great issues of faith and humanity debated in this densely plotted, illuminating narrative.
