A LAD OF EVESHAM VALE

To enjoy the tales from Evesham and its characters, listeners must possess an ear for the Worcestershire dialect and idioms. Lacking those helpers, the Evesham folks may be an enigma to our American ears. Vincent Brimble doesn't make the task easier. He reads without charm the adventures of Sacco the scoundrel. He reads without pleasure the village antics and projects no desire to make the listener appreciate he comfort of this era or the joys of village life.
