LANDING IT My Life On and Off the Ice

One of Scott Hamilton's early skating coaches had an ironclad rule: If you fall during a routine, you bounce back up and skate on, smiling. This habit of tenaciousness not only helped Hamilton win Olympic Gold, but kept him going through a chronic childhood illness and, recently, an episode of cancer. His fast-paced memoir will appeal to even the most casual fans of competitive skating. Since Hamilton does TV sports commentary and is comfortable with a microphone, and since so many are familiar with his voice, this is one autobiography that could benefit from being read by the author.
