The reader's youthful, sandpapery voice easily convinces us that we are hearing Cooper himself describe sightings of UFOs, as well as visits with cameo characters like Harry Truman, Amelia Earhart, John F. Kennedy, and Wernher von Braun. With the tale of psychic Valerie Ranson, who invited Cooper to lunch and bent her restaurant fork using only psychic powers, most listeners will be persuaded that "Gordo's" autobiography belongs in "Ripley's Believe It Or Not."
