The Far Left accuses the Right of mangling the Constitution, and the Far Right accuses the Left of mangling no less than history itself. Hence, this book, which, like the other volumes in the series, sets forth a rigid ideology as it attempts to vindicate Western Civilization for all the things the bastion of political correctness has painted as racist and barbaric. The choice of Malcolm Hillgartner as narrator was a fine one. He has the clipped tone and magisterial demeanor that such a strident narrative demands. Not that the book doesn't make a good point. It would be a shame to dismiss two thousand years of Western Civilization because of holier-than-thou hordes who function as thought police.
