One of Len Deighton's finest novels, this thriller is rich in characters, suspense and dramatic action. Paul Daneman, an actor trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, reads this startling conclusion to the spy game defection begun in Berlin Game. The voices of his women characters are a little disconcerting at first but seem to grow on the listener. The German, American and British accents are outstanding. Daneman is easy and involving to listen to and builds suspense to the ultimate confrontation. This tale should be recommended to mystery lovers, too.
