AUNT DIMITY'S DEATH

by | Read by Christina Moore

Mystery & Suspense • 7.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1992

Atherton has created a charming series starring Aunt Dimity (a ghost) and her "adopted family." Lori Shepherd, who, as a child, always thought Aunt Dimity was made up by her mother, is aghast when she learns that she has inherited a puzzle to solve. After solving the mystery, she will be heir to Aunt Dimity's wonderful house. Narrator Christina Moore brings just the right amount of whimsy and grit to a wide range of characters, including several old gentlemen who recall the past as they try to fill in gaps left by WWII. The best character is Lori's long lost rogue of a father, who suddenly reappears in her life. Atherton and Moore are a wonderful combo for listeners who love the British cozy.
