NAME TO A FACE

NAME TO A FACE unravels a centuries-old mystery, replete with clever twists, duplicity, and intrigue. Master gardener Tim Harding bids on an infamous antique ring, which is on the auction block after being lost in a 1707 shipwreck off the coast of Penzance. Deception, theft, and murder ensue as Harding races to discover the truth about the ring. Andrew Wincott's clever characterizations capture Harding's refined British tones, as well as the female characters' velvety enunciations. Wincott expresses the other male voices in the tale with a distinctive piratical timbre. Even for men living in the present—who are not, technically, pirates—the gruff delivery helps to accentuate the mystery's historical, seafaring origins.
