THE WALK-IN

by | Read by Robertson Dean

Mystery & Suspense • 8.75 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2008

THE WALK-IN opens with an assassination and a suspect's flight from a hostile Middle Eastern nation. The pace ratchets even higher after that. Former CIA operative Gary Berntsen recruited author Ralph Pezzullo to help concoct a tale of espionage in a world in which anyone could be a terrorist bent on destruction. Berntsen's credentials make the book a little too real for comfort. Robertson Dean's rich baritone is a perfect way to dive deep into the story. He gradually allows an edge of excitement to creep into his voice, carrying the listener to the climax. The story is complex, so a commanding narrator is vital to make sure the listener doesn’t miss any key passages. M.S. © AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine [Published: DECEMBER 2008]
