MALLORY KEEP

With voices emanating from forbidden rooms, a scarred mistress of the house, and a man haunted by the ghost of a forbidden love, this story aptly blends all the elements of traditional gothic suspense. While British narrator Karen Cass exudes naïveté and kindness in her portrayal of heroine Amity Lucas, the young woman who has traveled to the isolated Mallory Keep to become the companion of Regina Fairfax, she also can produce the bitterness and maliciousness of Damien Fairfax, the cursed gentleman of the manor. In addition, Cass convincingly uses an American accent when the long-lost relation from Texas arrives on the scene to reclaim his rightful position in the household.
