A MAN CALLED TROUBLE

Rusty Nelson, a frequent narrator for Books in Motion, reads Jason Peares's story thoughtfully and perceptively. Jason's is a sad but familiar tale of how he became a gunfighter: Someone was always trying to avenge the death of a father, brother, son. Nelson's delivery is low-key and casual as he reads about the violence, injuries and pain so deeply ingrained in Jason's life. Nelson's tone of voice becomes lighter, smoother for female characters and nearly nonchalant when describing the aftermath of gunfights, ambushes, etc. Will Indian John finally bring an end to Jason's violent days, or will he live "happily ever after" with Jo Ann in Colorado?
