According to author Bill Tancer, “we are what we click." This unusual statement is the theme of his latest book, which analyzes the Internet and its effects on society, particularly business. Breaking down exactly what people look for, how they look for it, and, ultimately, what they come to understand when they find it, Tancer offers an in-depth study of modern technology and how it’s used. However, this book is a few years too late as the Internet is certainly nothing new and has obviously become a common facet of human existence. Tancer seems vaguely aware of this in his uninspired reading, which tends to drone on as he attempts to make his, perhaps needlessly, complicated findings sound interesting and immediate.
