THE MANDEVILLE TALENT

by | Read by John MacDonald

Fiction • 10.5 hrs • Unabridged • © 1991

Listening to The Mandeville Talent is hard work. The plot involves more than twenty key characters, and much of the action is relayed in "dialogue-within-dialogue." John MacDonald does a commendable job in his narration, ranging from the homespun gentleness of Amelia Feldt to the deep, sonorous tones of Baldo Ianucci. In spite of his obvious talent, he is working with cumbersome material which doesn't lend itself to the audio format. This presentation is not for beginning listeners!
