IVY & BEAN: BOUND TO BE BAD

Fans of girlfriends Ivy and Bean will be delighted by their fifth adventure, once again narrated by the talented Cassandra Morris. Second-grader Ivy believes that if she's super good and pure of heart, the animals of the forest—even wolves—will follow her around. Though Bean thinks it's a great idea, she doubts her own ability to be that good. Morris's childlike voice complements this hilarious story. She uses a slight variation to distinguish between the rambunctious Bean and the angelic Ivy. When Ivy's plan backfires, Bean goes overboard, shocking the neighborhood with her bad behavior. Morris's narration has a steady rhythm that carries young listeners to the story’s climax—in which Crummy Matt, the bully of Pancake Court, inadvertently saves the day.
