THE CROSS-COUNTRY QUILTERS

by | Read by Christina Moore

Fiction • 12 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2001

From the petulant preschooler to the feisty octogenarian, keeping up with the many characters and subplots in this second entry in the 14-volume (to date) series of Elm Creek Quilts novels is a seemingly easy task for Christina Moore. Her voice embodies each person with genuine personality. Expanding on the quilt camp theme established in the first of the series, this book does not have to be read in order to enjoy. Obviously, those who quilt or sew understand the nomenclature better, but even a novice can pick up on the correlation between piecing together a quilt and the knitting of life's ups and downs into normal family life. With her engaging inflections, Moore's narration makes listening to the whole series an aspiration. E.V.B. © AudioFile 2009, Portland, Maine [Published: FEBRUARY 2009]
