Eric Maddox, an Army staff sergeant, relates his experiences while seeking out and capturing Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in 2003. Drawing upon information received after lengthy and heated interrogation sessions with one of Saddam's bodyguards (sessions that did not involve brutality, according to Maddox), Maddox led the military straight to the secret hideout and changed history in the process. Narrator Bernie McInerney reads with a firm voice that is focused on relating the account with the utmost clarity. McInerney never comes off as a realistic representation of Maddox, but simply allows the material to speak for itself and in doing so makes the mission all the more intriguing.
