Kellerman's new Las Vegas detectives, Romulus Poe and Stephen Jensen, are working the horrific case of a show girl's mauled corpse found in the desert. Dunne suberbly and assuredly reads this "X-files-type" story, bringing to it a touch of reality and earthiness. Easily distinguishing the carefully wrought, unique characters, Dunne delivers the dialogue with naturalness and feeling. Her comforting voice persuades listeners to believe the story's Native American mysticism and government conspiracies.
