MOTHER'S DAILY SCREAM

Holly and her friend, Jake, run away from home to teach their parents some lessons about how awful each teen's life has become. Matching the mood changes of the teenagers to her vocalization, Karpf precisely catches the ups and downs of their feelings. Emotions are often intense, and Karpf expertly controls the scenes with a poignant realism. Reading at a steady, brisk pace, she keeps the story flowing as fast as the action. Each character becomes individually defined through Karpf's varied dramatization. Teens will be drawn to this story, which parallels many of the problems and situations they experience.
