THE DEATH LIST

Matt Wells, a British crime novelist down on his luck, receives mysterious emails from an anonymous fan named "WD," along with an envelope containing £5000. All he has to do is write about WD's deeds of torture, mutilation, and murder. Andrew Wincott narrates this chilling tale with a steady voice and subtly inflected tone that ratchets up the tension of the story. Wincott's reading captures WD's flashbacks of an abused childhood and his psychotic ramblings as an adult. WD threatens Wells's family with horrific death if he tells the police, so Wells follows instructions while trying to untangle his life from that of his psychotic puppet master.
