MYSTERIES TO DIE FOR

Dogged detectives, mysterious vacations, glamorous Hollywood murders--Mysteries to Die For presents them all in a large selection of stories cleverly arranged by theme. Each theme is handled by different readers, with Patrick MacNee and Angie Dickinson putting in competent readings of the vacation stories, and Morgan Fairchild nicely balancing the breathy excesses of Roddy McDowell on the Hollywood "strange twists" murders. The real find here, though, is NYPD Blue's Dennis Franz, who tackles the PI tales brilliantly.
