THE RED BLAZER GIRLS The Ring of Rocamadour

by | Read by Tai Alexandra Ricci

Children Ages 10+ • 7 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2009

Tai Ricci is terrific as Sophie, a New York City teen who, along with three girlfriends, unravels a long-forgotten scavenger hunt to find the legendary ring of Rocamadour, which is reputed to grant wishes. Donning the red blazer of their school uniform, the girls work together to decipher word puzzles and geometry equations, which lead them to their goal. Ricci provides a variety of strong voices for the many supporting characters. Her pitch and even pacing make it easy to keep up with the funny dialogue and follow the sometimes-confusing clues in this mystery adventure. The puzzles, written out in the print book, translate fairly well to the spoken word, but listeners may still want to check the print version to see them.
