One of a series of recordings made on location whose intent was to capture a slice of the life lived in rural Vermont before it is lost, this award-winning recording features interviews with farm families. The focus and clarity of the production is worthy of mention. There are descriptions of harvesting timber using teams of oxen or horses, sugaring off, predawn chores in the barn and the hard work and beauty of a way of life that is disappearing from our county.
