WITH A NARROW BLADE

Aficionados of English cozies will enjoy this richly peopled mystery. Patience Tomlinson does outstanding portrayals of DI Hillary Green and her sergeant, Janine Tyler. But it is Tomlinson’s metamorphoses into the male characters that are truly splendid. Through her choice of cadence and tone, the listener can clearly envision them all—from whiny junkie to gruff retired policeman. The mystery of the murder of a well-liked elderly woman unfolds amid multiple subplots that involve stalking and love triangles.
