Children love Laurie Keller's wacky sense of humor and the tiny conversing characters she doodles in print. Could it get goofier than personifying the bored middle states of Kansas and Nebraska, who seek stimulation by inviting everyone to "the biggest party ever"? Spurred on by the fun, the states decide they'll relocate so that each can see a new area of the country.
