SOMETHING TO REMEMBER ME BY: THREE TALES

Two different men and one woman perform three works by a single writer. This approach is diverting, like seeing light through a moving prism. The narrators are matched to their material. Kevin Pariseau gives an energetic reading of “Something to Remember Me By,” a story in which a young man meets a prostitute but then goes home with a drunken man. A .C. Fellner's voice brings a more regretful tone to “The Bellarosa Connection,” a novella built around the remembered story of a cripple saved from the Nazis by a Broadway showman. Then the showman wants nothing to do with the man whose escape he engineered. In “A Theft,” Jennifer Van Dyck gives a full-bodied, even flirtatious, rendering of the adventures of Clara, a powerful woman who marries often, but not the man she adores.
