NOSTRADAMUS The New Revelations

by | Read by John Hogue

Philosophy & Religion • 3 hrs. • Abridged • © 1994

Hogue presents an informative account of the life of the "prophet." After introducing us to the seer, he describes Nostradamus's prophetic works in terms of their structure and linguistic tricks. This accompanies an exposition of a number of the major prophecies themselves. Some have, seemingly, been fulfilled, while the author gives possible interpretations of others that do not seem to have been fulfilled. Hogue's reading of his own work is adequate. He is comfortable and obviously knows the material. His voice is clear but can become a bit monotonous at times. He also has a tendency to pause at certain intervals, which disrupts the rhythm of the work. M.T.F. © AudioFile 2000, Portland, Maine [Published: OCT/NOV 00]
