Narrator Anne Flosnik is superb yet again in this excellent audio production of a 1991 romance by Jayne Ann Krentz, writing as Amanda Quick. As a result of a botched elopement, lovely Emily Faringdon is a spinster. Having quite the knack for things financial, she is content to manage her family's estate. Handsome and dangerous Simon Traherne, the Earl of Blade, is after revenge as he blames Emily's father for his own father’s suicide 23 years earlier. Love is not part of his plan. Flosnik's portrayal of these upper-crust Brits has just the right touch. She switches effortlessly between the various characters, presenting a delightful production.
