THE CONFESSIONS OF EDWARD DAY

Andrew Garman’s narration is right on the mark for this story of aspiration, competitive friendships, and complicated love. Self-absorbed New Yorker Edward Day recounts how be became a successful actor. Some of it’s the usual story of paying his dues by juggling three jobs and going to every audition he could find. But during these years of struggle a trip to the shore led to the relationship triangle that informs the rest of his life. On the New Jersey sand he made love with Madeleine, an aspiring actress, and later he was saved from a riptide by Guy, another young actor. Garman delivers the narrow range of emotions that Edward is willing to show off stage.
