PERIL IN THE MIST

This "very English" story is greatly enhanced by narrator Andy Crane's spirited presentation. Four friends decide to participate in a charity walk for a sick child. Because of their curiosity, they become separated from the group and get lost as mist envelopes the mountains. Crane personalizes and even humorously stereotypes the vicar, scout leader and even the kids themselves. The best parts include the kids using made-up words such as "creepazoid," the "talking" dog and one very hilarious argument.Should be popular with those who enjoy Swindells's other thrilling adventures of danger and rescue with children always the heroes.
