Bringing back Harold Middleton and his group, "the volunteers" from 2007's CHOPIN MANUSCRIPT, this serial audiobook taunts and teases, but some listeners may find that the chapters are uneven and the story comes up short. Narrator Alfred Molina, however, keeps the story's complications interesting with a top-notch reading. Molina's accents make this sound like a full-cast recording; his perfect pacing and tone keep this melodrama engaging.
