The RAF is losing jets (and pilots) when controls fail abruptly for no discernible reason. The military bureaucracy is reluctant to admit that the fault is in the planes. A pilot risks all to expose the cover-up. Lively writing, informed by actual flying experience, makes this conventional plot fresh and engaging. Christian Rodska provides ideal voicing, deftly modulating his tone and pacing to the mood of every passage. For character voices, he shifts easily among a wide range of qualities and accents, with never a distracting hint of display. The effect is like watching an action film in which your favorite actors strut their stuff amid flashy visuals and stomach-churning sound effects.
