DOCTOR WHO: HORNETS' NEST Sting in the Tale

by | Read by Tom Baker et al.

Science Fiction • 1 hr. • Audio Program • © 2009

The show's not over 'til the fat lady sings, and the fat lady isn't singing. Maybe that’s because this is the fourth chapter of a five-part saga. The Doctor visits a nuns' abbey during the Dark Ages, pursuing an ancient enemy hiding as a swarm of hornets within the body of a pig. Conflict ensues. The cast, including Tom Baker, and the sound effects are exquisitely right for the story. Baker, of course, played the longest running incarnation of the Doctor in the BBC television series. His manic presentation cannot be faulted in light of the story line. He rolls his eyes and grins rakishly—we can't see it, but we can hear it!
