This time Roger embarks on a special mission. The rural English accent MacNab uses to narrate the story reflects Roger the Chapman's hometown in southwest England. MacNab skillfully brings the other characters to life, ensuring that they’re clearly distinguishable, including the troublesome and manipulative Eloise Gray, who accompanies Roger on his journey. MacNab appears to have both affection for the main character and fun in the presentation of the story, making this an enjoyable listen right through to the slightly abrupt conclusion.
