QUEEN OF DEMONS

You have to be a true fantasy fan to plod through this second volume in the Lord of the Isles series. Different worlds, strange-sounding names, dark magic and new laws of nature bring more confusion than entertainment, especially if you haven't listened to the first volume. Michael Page delivers a valiant performance of the work, easily vocalizing the hordes of characters, including a talking ape. His delivery is spirited and pointed, with perfect British diction and pacing. Page has a real knack for remembering whose magic works in what ways and which characters react to what stimuli in whatever circumstances.
