Adventurer Vin Cooper is in the U.S. Air Force, so he’s pro-military, but being an Internal Affairs officer, he’s also aware that military personnel don’t always do the right thing. Mel Foster communicates both the patriotic and cynical aspects of Vin’s character, as well as his frequent sarcasm. In Book 3 of an ongoing series, Vin and fellow investigator (and ex-significant other) Anna Masters chase down the killer of the U.S. military attaché to Turkey, soon realizing that they’re in the middle of a huge conspiracy and cover-up involving an illegal military operation.
