THE TUDORS

Meyer attempts to set the record straight on the over-romanticized history of the five Tudor kings and queens. Although the length of this production may be daunting, Robin Sachs's stately delivery and crisp British accent keep the listener moving forward. Each chapter is composed of two sections, the first part furthering the story and the second part providing additional background on life in sixteenth- century England. Sachs imbues both with equal importance. His measured pace is unwavering throughout the detailed accounts of the political, religious, social, and family entanglements of the Tudor rulers.
