In THE MYTH OF A RATIONAL MARKET, former TIME business writer Justin Fox provides an intellectual history of this idea, one of the most hotly debated in contemporary economics. While it's not a breezy listen, Alan Sklar's gravelly tones complement Fox's clear writing and make the audiobook accessible. Sklar capably handles the financial jargon, and his subtle characterizations give voice to the important thinkers profiled. Sklar's tendency to adorn some of the lighthearted passages with a chuckle is awkward, but that's the only quibble is this otherwise excellent production.
