WE, ROBOTS

This eclectic collection of short stories focuses on stories of robots. The characters are highly imaginative, ranging from an animatronic scarecrow that saves a boy to a sassy bounty hunter who finds herself facing a moral dilemma. The production is blessedly free of sci-fi robot clichés. Narrators Amy Bruce and J.P. Linton are capable, though rich production elements like sound effects and music are absent. The void is especially noticeable in this genre of audiobook. Still, the stories themselves stand out—there are more than enough gems to merit a listen.
