Simon Vance narrates the fourth in the Enzo Files series. Vance brings the character of Scots forensics expert Enzo McLeod to life as he investigates a twenty-year-old murder that took place on an island off the coast of northern France. Vance’s well-paced narration ensures that even detailed descriptions never become boring. The story holds one’s attention right through to the end as Vance portrays the characters, including surly islanders and an attractive widow, with ease. As a result of his sympathetic reading, listeners grow fond of the main characters and share in McLeod's sadness as the plot reaches its conclusion.
