FALCON SEVEN

by | Read by Scott Sowers

Mystery & Suspense • 12.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2010

Two Navy airmen on a routine bombing mission are shot down over Pakistan and hauled off to the Netherlands to stand trial for war crimes before the International Criminal Court. Jack Caskey, a Washington criminal defense lawyer and former Navy SEAL, is hired to defend the two flyers. Narrator Scott Sowers’s brash, edgy delivery nicely matches Caskey’s intense, impatient nature. Sowers’s staccato intonation is crisp and engaging; however, his lack of vocal variety makes it difficult to follow the many complex conversations. Nonetheless, FALCON SEVEN is a multidimensional thriller and a heck of a ride. T.J.M. © AudioFile 2011, Portland, Maine [Published: FEBRUARY 2011]
