The life of outlaw Jesse James has fascinated generations. The blending of fact and fiction that has always been part of the legend continues in this audio program. The presentation uses a variety of techniques, making it seem part history, part Western fable. Michael Murphey relates dry chronology, as well as accounts of daring raids and holdups. He sings a short tune and occasionally tries on a few character voices--not with great success.
