Fellow cops consider Detective Sloane Pearson a dumb blonde—even though she keeps up with the guys with her investigative skills and vulgar street talk. Tavia Gilbert's serious tone and deliberate pace add to escalating tensions when Sloan learns her friend is the rapist’s latest victim. Gilbert’s portrayal of Sloan's outrage and defiance when she's ordered to drop the case sounds fully authentic.
